NaNoWriMo, Day 29

I am going to regret this on so many levels tomorrow, but I'm finishing up 3 days worth of writing in a single night. *yawn* The eyes remain vigilant, but the brain protests. I think I'm slowly becoming nocturnal.

2:00 AM

Just finished off the daily word count. Now to complete tomorrow's goal...only 1,426 words to go! As for the plot, it's still running like molasses. I'm going to need at least another 2 weeks to reach the climax.

2:19 AM

Finally caught up with my leftover word count from that one day I could never finish. :D

2:23 AM

Early breakfast break. This, dear child, is why we have leftovers.

2:27 AM

I'm thinking the word count ends in the middle of a flashback. Joy.

2:41 AM

We're at the 29,000 word mark! Only 1,000 left to go. (forget what I set the goal to be, I'm going for the whole 30,000)
Heh, I'm almost done and the characters chose just this moment to describe their pasts.

2:53 AM

So tired...not sure...if fingers...will type any more...they've already typed 3,500 words today...

3:00 AM

The moment has arrived: we're down to 85 words before the goal. It's a good thing the MC talks to herself a lot.

3:05 AM

And we are done! Considering if I should continue on to the 30,000 or go to bed.

Total: 29,594

Yep, going to bed as it is 3:30 AM.

An Ode to my Tablet

Abby, dear tablet
I've just about had it
What with your randomly breaking!

I could draw, so I hoped
But you just said "nope!
You're gonna draw, but I'll just ignore ya."
Abby, Abby
I gave you new batteries
And what did you do?
You said,
"I still won't work!"
Tablets can be lazy, whoever knew?

I have never been acquainted with such a terribly tricky tablet
A terribly tricky tablet such as you
The meter is really off
So I guess this would be a good time to stop

NaNoWriMo, Day 20

For some reason, OpenOffice is ignoring Auto-Spellcheck for my novel specifically. Never mind, I found the problem. OpenOffice didn't know what language I was typing in...
On a side note, Jake has decided the fate of my novel. In song!
----------------
The Fate of the Novel
By Jake
There are 11 people on the bus
One's name is Gus
The other is Sam
And there is a ninja man
 And their last names are
Wakachackalackazed
-----------------
What are the names of the remaining 8? ONLY TIME CAN TELL!

(actually their names are Orlen, Roswitha, Haya, Cynthia, Melisa, Annelore, April, Issac, Cosette, and Peter. And the bus driver.)

NaNoWriMo, Day 18

GAH
OpenOffice is confused. It thinks I've written 300-or-so more words than I actually have.

*headdesk*

NaNoWriMo, Day 17

My novel characters decided they wanted me to draw them. So first up is Roswitha, just because she's got an awesome hoodie. The pants looked better in my imagination...

Word count total for 11/11/11

And my total for the night is 11,111 words.

Tomorrow, there will be plot. And supervillainy will finally come into the equation. I'll probably resume the wolfing run I have on Docking Station and see where that's gone by the end of the writing session.

*Wolfing run: Docking Station is like an expansion pack for Creatures that works by itself. A wolfing run is when you leave your world entirely unattended and see where your Norns are in a few hours. Or months, for some. (I kinda cheated and threw in a few toys so the little guys won't get horribly bored, and I occasionally check on them to separate them from Alkina, a Norn whose breed gets quite violent at times.)

NaNoWriMo, Day 11

(huzzah, I write before 11 PM!) I've just passed 10,000 words...which I should have done yesterday, but I hope to catch up tonight.
